Welcome! Mrs. Murray’s Nursery School is an affordable private preschool serving Newburyport and the greater Newburyport area; Amesbury, Boxford, Byfield, Merrimac, Newbury, Salisbury, West Newbury, and Southern New Hampshire. We believe the early childhood years are a pivotal time in a child’s life. It is a time for learning and exploring the world around them. Our goal is to provide a learning environment that provides each child the opportunity to develop new skills in a warm and safe way.
Our teaching staff is made up of experienced professionals that truly love what they do.
I was born and raised in Malden, MA. In 1988, I moved to the beautiful city of Newburyport with my husband James. We raised three amazing children, and have one grandchild. All are alumni of MMNS.
In 1996, I was given the opportunity to become a teacher and learn the Mrs. Murray’s way of teaching. I became a lead teacher and eventually Director II certified through the MA Department of Early Education and Care. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful group of dedicated teachers.
What I like best about being a teacher is that it enables me to be a part of my students' growth and development. I cannot think of anything more rewarding that seeing a child's face light up when they have accomplished a new task!

I was born and raised in West Newbury. I am married and have two grown daughters who are alumni of MMNS. I have two granddaughters, one is an alumni and the other presently attends the nursery school.
I have always loved being around young children, so I knew what I wanted to do when I went to college. I received an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and I am Director II certified thru the MA Department of Early Education and Care.
Everyday is a new day at school, a new learning experience, and just seeing a smile on the childrens' face brings me such joy. After more than 22 years in the field, I still love being a part of the children's growth and development. I love that I can be an important part of making their environment safe, stable and nurturing.
I was born and raised in Newburyport, MA and currently live in Salisbury, MA. My husband and I have two grown boys who are both alumni of MMNS.
I started out in banking and was an Assistant Manager for a local bank. After having my boys and volunteering in their classrooms when they were younger, I saw how rewarding it was to work with children. I went back to school and I am now certified through the MA Department of Early Education and Care. I have been working at MMNS since 2001 and can't image ever doing anything different.
Now that my children are all grown, I can't tell you how special it is to me to be a part of other children's lives and to watch them grow.
I currently live in Salisbury, MA with my husband, and daughter. We have two wonderful dogs who I love to talk about.
Having worked in the Early Childhood Field for over 20 years, I feel honored to now be teaching at MMNS. I hold an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science.
I truly enjoy watching the children grow over the year and am so excited to teach them new things. I look forward to working with the great team and all of your children!
I live in West Newbury with my husband and our three sons. I have been a part of MMNS since 1990 - first as a patron of three children who all attended the school.
When my boys went to school full time, I didn't want to leave Mrs. Murray's, so I joined the teaching staff in 2006. I am teacher certified by the MA Department of Early Education and Care.
I am so grateful to do something I love every day!
I am so excited to be teaching here at Mrs. Murray's! I obtained my certification to teach Preschoolers through the MA Department of Early Education and Care. I've always had a passion for teaching young children and will continue to further educate myself in the Early Childhood Education field.
I love teaching because I can create and maintain an environment for a child to grow; feel confident, be creative and develop a love of learning! When there's a love for learning, the possibilities are endless!
When I am not teaching, I am home with my family. I am married and have two beautiful children. As a family we love to be outdoors; anywhere near the water brings us so much happiness. We also love to read, ride bikes and go on adventures together.
I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
After staying home with my own 3 children for several years, I was given the opportunity to teach at Mrs. Murray's while my youngest attended the school. Now that all of my children are in public school full time, there is no where I would rather spend my days than at MMNS.
Working alongside many of the teachers my own children had when they were at the school has only confirmed what I already knew...that MMNS is a caring, loving environment that lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning!
I currently live in Ambesbury, MA with my husband and our 4 children. We love the simple life of farm to table and everything nature. During our free time we find ourselves hiking, doing yard work or outdoor sports.
I have been working as a child care provider for over 15 years. I love looking at life through the eyes of a child which are filled with curiosity and wonder!
I was born and raised in Newburyport and attended Newburyport Public Schools. I then attended college and became a physical therapist. I have three teenage children, all of whom are alumni of MMNS. Like some of my peer teachers I never lost touch with the preschool family that was the basis of my own kids' education.
I started off substituting for MMNS in 2008, and have taken more courses in child development as a PT and with my Early Childhood Education institute. Due to my background I also have an interest in learning challenges and strategies to compensate for them.
I love the energy and excitement that each child comes to school with at 8:45 in the morning. The hugs, the smiles, the stories and an occasional wink/blink makes the every day joyful. I now spend one day a week (or more on occasion) getting to know and love your children for their unique personalities and talents.
I was born and raised in Newburyport, MA. I still live here with my husband, who is a Newburyport firefighter, and our three girls. My three daughters and myself are Mrs. Murray's alumni.
I have an Associate Degree in Human Services. Before having my children, I worked in a group home providing direct care support to individuals with special needs. For the past thirteen years I have been a stay at home mom.
With my youngest now in school full time I am looking forward to this new adventure with MMNS. While I enjoy all stages of child development, one of my favorites are the preschool years.
